Romero Academies is an independent Catholic elementary school management organization based in Cincinnati, OH. Currently, the non-profit manages two PK - 8th grade schools – Resurrection School in Price Hill and Annunciation School in Clifton. Position Overview
The Executive Director intern will work closely with the ED to support all aspects of the organization, including expansion to future schools. This includes, but is not limited to, support administrative systems and routines, organizing and sharing information with stakeholders, and supporting financial management and state compliance. The intern will accompany the Executive Director or meetings and events as appropriate to gain a deeper understanding of her role and responsibilities.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter who wants to learn about education from the district level and gain a better understanding of a start-up school environment. The candidate should be detail oriented, eager to learn, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. This is an unpaid training opportunity designed to encourage personal and professional development while learning about a startup environment.
This commitment is for 12 hours per week. Hours and duration are flexible. The position will be required to be in person in our Cincinnati offices.
Job Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Executive Director, including helping with email and calendar management
- Assist with the administration of board relations
- Collaborate on special projects and initiatives, such as teacher hiring, website updates, and social media posts
- Facilitate effective communication between Executive Director and internal and external stakeholders
- Manage logistics for special events
- Take notes at various meetings

- Proficiency with Google Apps and Microsoft Office (especially spreadsheets, word processing, and presentations) and other digital tools to manage data and logistics.
- Desire to continuously learn, incorporate feedback, and grow as a professional.
